Sherbourne Recycling Ltd will be a ‘state-of-the-art’ recycling facility for Coventry and the surrounding regions. Its aim, on completion, will be to one of the most advanced recycling plants in the UK with the technology to be able to recover 95% of recyclable material.
Although based in Coventry, next door to The Coventry & Solihull Waste Disposal Company (CSWDC), Sherbourne is a joint venture with the 8 following councils - Coventry, North Warwickshire, Nuneaton and Bedworth, Rigby, Stratford, Solihull, Walsall and Warwick.
Due to market fluctuations and increases in the cost of processing waste through 3rd party suppliers, our aim has always been to take control over the management of the region’s recyclable material.
The facility will be designed to
produce the quality of recyclate required by the market, and with the flexibility to
adapt as the demands of the sector grow and evolve. It will provide the opportunity for the region to optimise recycling rates, enhance recyclate quality and ultimately deliver higher returns from the waste we recycle.
